Mid-June brings Pioneer Days to Ennis [1].
The Fourth of July weekend rodeo is taken seriously here.
Mid-October, shortly after the start of hunting season, Ennis holds its Wild Game Cook-off. Visitors can taste the dishes and vote for their favorites.
Both the rodeo and the cook-off are known statewide as happenin’ events.
