Fishing and Boating

Fish the lakes up the North Fork for magnificent scenery and an occasional cutthroat trout. Most anglers take to boats on Bowman Lake [1], which is open to motorboats with engines below 10 horsepower; no motorized boats are allowed in Kintla Lake. Canoeists will go nuts over both of these lakes—they’re long, with miles of animal-sheltering shoreline to explore.
