This stunning canyon and park offers the most accessible glimpse of what Escalante canyon country is all about ($2 per vehicle day-use fee). The trailhead to 126-foot Lower Calf Creek Falls [1] is here, and you should definitely make plans for the half-day hike, especially if you have no time for further exploration of this magical landscape.
Otherwise, stop here to picnic in the shade of willows and cottonwoods. This is also the most convenient and attractive campsite for dozens of miles. The 13 campsites have water, fire pits, and picnic tables ($7).
