Up the road, Elysium Woodcarvings (255 Masalin Rd., Lincolnville, 207/763-3175, www.tidewater.net/~elysium [4], open by appt. May–Dec.) specializes in another famous Maine half-breed—carved wooden “coon cats,” a real-life cross between cat and raccoon.
