In addition to the main event, the games include synchronized mud swimming and cheerleader competitions. Even the outlet stores celebrate the foliage in these parts.
Each October, the Settlers Green Outlet Village sponsors a Fall Festival (603/356-7031, www.settlersgreen.com [3], late Sept.) in North Conway with pumpkin-carving demonstrations, pumpkin pies, and hot apple cider to go around.
