Lyndonville is the self-dubbed “covered bridge capital of the Northeast Kingdom [1],” having no less than five examples scattered around town. The Miller’s Run Bridge on Route 114 was rebuilt in 1995 using the original 19th-century trusses.
The 117-foot-long Sanborn Bridge uses the distinctive X-shaped Paddleford trusses. It was moved several years ago onto dry land behind the LynBurke Motel at the intersection of Routes 5 and 114.
