Founded by two Austrian musicians who relocated to Vermont [1] more than 50 years ago, the Marlboro Music Festival (Marlboro College, Marlboro, 802/254-2394, www.marlboromusic.org [2], Sat.–Sun. mid- July–mid-Aug., $5–30) has since become the country’s preeminent festival of chamber music. Masters and students play music together on the hilltop campus of tiny Marlboro College.
