Torrington’s [1] downtown center is home to two of the town’s biggest attractions. For theatrical, music, and dance productions, there’s the spectacular Warner Theatre (68 Main St., Torrington, 860/489-7180, www.warnertheatre.org [2]). It’s as entertaining offstage as on, painted with murals of Litchfield Hills [3] and hung with an enormous chandelier.
Then there’s the Nutmeg Conservatory for the Arts (58 Main St., Torrington, 860/482-4413, www.nutmegconservatory.org [4]), which houses its own ballet and dance school and stages everything from The Nutcracker to Cinderella.
