While just a molehill compared to the big mountains in New Hampshire [1] and Vermont [2], the best small-mountain skiing in the area can be found at Jiminy Peak (Hancock, 413/738-5500, www.jiminypeak.com [3], $54–64 adults, $46–57 teens 13 to 19, $40–47 seniors and children 12 and under, $19 children 6 and under), which has a good set of steep summit trails and a half pipe for snowboarders.
