Because Albuquerque isn’t quite a tourist mecca, its hotel offerings have languished a bit. Generic, chain-operated towers are the norm, and some of the bed-and-breakfasts have a haphazard air. But a few places, particularly the inns in the bucolic areas of Los Ranchos and Corrales, on the north edge of the city, are quite nice, and you’ll pay substantially less here than you would in Santa Fe for similar amenities.
