One of the most accessible trails in the Santa Fe [1] area (you can even take the “M” city bus to the trailhead on the campus of St. John’s College) is also one of the more challenging. The hike heads up to a 9,121-foot peak, starting out as a gentle stroll along the city’s edge and then becoming increasingly steep, for a round-trip of approximately seven miles.
