For a glimpse into other parts of the state, with attractions styled after the Bay Area [1], Wine Country [2], and Cannery Row [3], head to the aptly named Golden State.
Want a bird’s-eye view of California? Get on board Soarin’ Over California. This combination ride and show puts you and dozens of other guests on the world’s biggest “glider” and sets you off over the hills and valleys of California. You’ll feel the wind in your hair as you see the vineyards, mountains, and beaches of this diverse state.
If you prefer water to wind, take a ride down the Grizzly River Run, a Disney version of one of the many wild California rivers that rafters love to run.
Smaller visitors can get some exercise and fun in the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail. This adventure course mimics the ropes courses adults love, but it’s sized small enough for kids. Parents can join in on some of the course, but must wait and watch for their charges to swing on the ropes.
