Paradise Pier mimics the Santa Monica Pier [1] and other waterfront attractions like it, with thrill rides and an old-fashioned midway. Most of the extreme rides cluster in the Paradise Pier area.
It seems reasonable that along with everything else, Disney does the best roller coasters in the business. They prove it with California Screamin’, a high-tech roller coaster designed after the classic wooden coasters of carnivals past. This extra-long ride includes drops, twists, a full loop, and plenty of time and screaming fun.
California Screamin’ has a four-foot height requirement and is just as popular with nostalgic adults as with kids. Get a ride on a big-kid swing inside an improbable gigantic orange on the Orange Stinger. The Stinger requires riders to be at least four feet tall and in good health, and it’s probably a good idea to have a strong stomach as well.
