No, it’s not hot anymore. But this huge boulder started out untouchable when the Loomises explored the eruption zone soon after the 1915 blast.
Frankly, the site isn’t all that amazing now, except when you think about that big rock remaining warm to the touch for months, so recently it was written about and even photographed.
