Most folks don’t come to Tahoe [1] to see its historic or cultural sights—which is a shame, really, because many of them are worth your time. Just be aware that sightseeing and museum-going in Tahoe are summertime activities.
Most museums and cultural sights go to limited hours in the spring and fall, and close entirely in the wintertime. It’s not that they’re afraid of the weather, it’s that the staff are all out skiing!
