A great break from the endless fancy food is to find yourself a nice ethnic restaurant. In Sebastopol, one of the best of these is the Himalayan Tandoori and Curry House (969 Gravenstein Hwy. S., 707/829-2679, $10–16), which serves up Indian food in the Himalayan style. You’ll find both vegetable curries and meat tandoori here, both properly spicy, as well as fresh naan, spicy rice pudding, and all sorts of Eastern treats.
You’ll even get a break from the endless river of wine, since there’s plenty of beer on the drinks menu.
