Villahermosa [1] is by no means a tourist’s shopping mecca, but one shop definitely is worth noting: Artesanías de Tabasco—a state-run shop that sells some of the best handicrafts made in Tabasco.
There are four stores around Villahermosa: inside Parque-Museo La Venta [2] (Blvd. Adolfo Ruíz Cortines s/n, 993/315-3421, 9 a.m.–5 p.m. daily); the Museo Regional de Antropología Carlos Pellicer Cámara [3] (Av. Carlos Pellicer Cámara 511, tel. 993/314-6058, 9 a.m.–5 p.m. Tues.–Sat.); Tabasco 2000 [4] (Paseo Tabasco s/n, 2nd Fl., tel. 993/316-2822, 10:30 a.m.–8:30 p.m. daily); and at the airport (tel. 993/356-0196, 7 a.m.–9 p.m. Mon.–)Fri., 7 a.m.–8 p.m. Sat.–Sun.).
If you need a mall fix, head to the sleek Tabasco 2000 (Paseo Tabasco s/n, 10:30 a.m.–8:30 p.m. daily), a huge shopping center with large department stores, clothing boutiques, and a food court.
