Centro Cultural de Mérida Olimpo (Calle 61 at Calle 62, tel. 999/942-0000, ext. 477, 10 a.m.–10 p.m. Tues.–Sun.) is a cultural center housed in an award-winning modern space. There are exhibition halls, a research library, a planetarium, and theaters where films are screened and concerts are held.
The programming is chock-full each month—check the bulletin board at the entrance for listings. One concert that never fails is the Noche de Trova, which takes place every Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. and is free.
