Sitting at Bambú (Ribera del Mar, tel. 073/25-7038, 8 a.m.–7 p.m. daily, US$5–7), looking out over the ocean, cebiche is the logical lunch option. Customer favorites are striped marlin and espada. Vegetarians can get pasta dishes, and adventurous eaters should try the timbal de mariscos, a seafood casserole.
Hidden behind the Eppo bus station, near the busy highway, El Huequito (Pasaje Olaya, 9 a.m.–6 p.m. Mon.–Sat., US$1–4) is pleasantly quiet and clean. The sea green walls, wooden tables, and thatched roof evoke the ocean, and the menu offers sandwiches, salads, and drinks, along with a US$3 midday menú.
There is a friendly Minimarket in the first floor of Hospedaje Anyemarke.
