Lima [1]’s Chinatown is an excellent place to have lunch or late-afternoon tea, in the midst of a neighborhood founded by Chinese indentured workers, or coolies, who came here after finishing their contract on the train lines or coastal haciendas.
The main street is Capón, which has three Asian temples, a Chinese arch, and a variety of stores and restaurants. The entire Chinatown area is adjacent to Lima’s central market.
