B-boying, or breakdancing as some people still call it, is such a beloved pastime in Korea that its top practitioners have their own theaters, like this one in the Hongdae neighborhood.
Performances, usually held two or three times per day and lasting 90 minutes or so, rotate regularly and have various storylines—boy meets girl, boy loses girl, boy struggles to get girl back, etc.—but are basically non-verbal, and any attempt at plot is simply an excuse for the lithe young dancers to spin their way across the stage.
Korean breakdancers have won well-deserved international acclaim, and this venue will appeal to hip-hop enthusiasts and, most likely, a lot of teen girls. Others can safely give it a miss.
