Another solid choice for high-end Western food is Ristorante Sadler. The man behind the name is two-star Michelin chef Claudio Sadler, whose menu includes Italian pasta and meat dishes, inventive salads, and his special Naples sponge and Tiramisu for dessert.
The dining area is bright and sunny, with simple white furniture. Wine comes from the Cantina Sadler cellar downstairs, and you can pick up gourmet goods at the Sadler food store. The 12-seat chef’s table can be booked for private dinners.
Ristorante Sadler is part of the Chi’enmen 23 complex in the Legation Quarter [1], which contains the best examples of Beijing’s colonial-era architecture.
