Lusongyuan’s 50 rooms may not be the most luxurious in town, but for the price you pay, you won’t get any better or more charming. The pretty courtyard is dotted with birdcages and was once used by the Qing Dynasty general who owned the property.
Many guest rooms contain traditional wood-framed kang beds and all have private bathrooms. The lobby lounge serves tea and coffee all day, as well as Continental breakfast in the morning and Beijing-style food for lunch and dinner.
Lusongyuan is well located for exploring Houhai, Gulou, and the Imperial city. The hotel was nominated for the most distinctive courtyard in 2009 by the Beijing Tourism Industry Association.
