Beijing’s bohemians and literati gather at the Bookworm, which triples as a bookshop, café, and bar. With sister branches in Suzhou and Chengdu, the Bookworm hosts an annual literary festival every spring.
Grab a coffee and a book and head up to the roof terrace if the weather is fine, or hunker down with a glass of wine and a magazine. There are over 15,000 books for sale and lending.
The Bookworm was founded by an expat named Alexandra Pearson who wanted to create a space for Beijing’s book lovers to meet, work, relax, and find good literature.
