A short walk from the large general post office is this fascinating house compound-cum-museum chronicling the lives of middle-class Bangkok families in the 1930s through 1950s. The rooms of the main house are full of housewares, furniture, and other artifacts from the period, arranged as they would have been in a functioning home.
All of the items belonged to the family who own the home and lived there. Their daughter now runs this small, personal museum. Call before heading over to make sure the hours haven’t changed.
