At the top of State Tower on Silom Road you’ll find several high-end eating and drinking establishments, including Sirocco, the outdoor rooftop bar and restaurant, and Distil, the inside bar with a great collection of wines and single-malt scotch, but nothing beats the Sky Bar.

The views are spectacular; when you first walk toward the outside bar you’ll think that the expansive stairs drop right off into the infinity of the Bangkok skyline. Take a few minutes to walk the land before you choose your spot and don’t miss the small outdoor lounge area behind Distil where you can enjoy your drink in a nearly horizontal position.

The outside tends to get crowded with people vying for the best view, while people inside try hard to be seen themselves. The drinks don’t come cheap, but it’s worth it for the view.

Watch what you wear: no sandals, shorts, tank tops, or large rips at this upscale establishment.
