Near Democracy Monument you’ll find the country’s most famous pad thai shop. It’s even been featured in films, and many connoisseurs consider it the best in the world.
Surprisingly, pad thai is less popular in Bangkok [2] than dishes such as guay teow and som tam; still, the sweet, tangy noodles with shrimp are wonderful if you’re looking for something familiar and comforting, and not spicy!
Don’t be fooled by their website, this is a very casual, inexpensive shophouse restaurant.
