At Pensión Temuco (Piloto Pardo 224, tel. 061/621113, US$12.50–17 pp), rates vary according to shared or private bath; it also serves meals. The nearby Residencial Pusaky (Piloto Pardo 242, tel. 061/621116, US$14–18 pp) is comparable.
Refugio Coirón (Ricardo Maragaño 168, tel. 061/621227, fax 061/621150, coiron [at] simltd [dot] com, US$13.50 pp with shared bath) has very good accommodations with kitchen privileges. It’s a better choice than the friendly but basic Hostería Onashaga (Uspachún 290, tel. 061/621081, US$16 pp–US$33 d), which has multibedded rooms with shared bath and others with private baths.
The top choice is the utterly transformed, 24-room Hotel Lakutaia (tel. 061/621733, www.lakutaia.cl [1], US$200/250 s/d), which is more a destination than just accommodations; it also has a fine restaurant. Off-season rates (May–mid-October) are about 25 percent lower.
South America’s southernmost bar/restaurant, the Club de Yates Micalvi, occupies the main deck and the bridge of the historic vessel that lies grounded in Puerto Williams [2]’s inner harbor. The Pingüino Pub is at the Centro Comercial.
