Historian Ezequiel Gallo has called wealthy Santa Fe Province the pampa gringa for its transformation, through European immigration, from humid grasslands into one of the world’s great granaries. Its attractions are primarily urban, in the cities of Rosario [1] and the provincial capital of Santa Fe [2], but the middle Paraná Delta remains to be explored.
