A popular spot to catch live rock bands is Rockotitlán Sur (Canal de Miramontes 2640, Coyoacán, tel. 5677-2439 or 5677-7374, www.rockotitlan.com, Thur.–Sat., cover usually $5–10 for men and free for women). Formerly located on Insurgentes and now near Metro Tasqueña, this was one of the original rock en español venues back in the 1980s, and it’s still a great place to catch newer bands from Mexico and elsewhere in Latin America.
