Cantina la Guadalupana (just off Jardín Hidalgo on Higuera, tel. 5554-6253, 10 a.m.– midnight Mon.–Sat.) is a very popular cantina familiar (family cantina) in Coyoacán that first opened its doors in 1932. It manages to still be authentic (complete with boozy locals) and comfortable for most foreigners. The full menu covers all the Mexican standards. Prices are a bit higher than in most cantinas.
