One of the first of the trendy restaurants in Condesa, and still considered one of the best, is Garufa (Michoacán 93, tel. 5286-8293, 1–11 p.m. Sun.–Thurs., 1 p.m.–1 a.m. Fri.–Sat., entrées $7–16), with tables inside and on the sidewalk. Among the excellent pastas are cannelloni with spinach or corn and fettucini hindú, chicken breast in a tangy yogurt-and-ginger sauce over a bed of pasta. It has great steaks too.
