Condesa df A great new addition to Mexico City’s hotel market is Condesa df (Av. Veracruz 102, tel. 5241-2600, www.condesadf.com, $165395 s/d), run by the same owners as Hotel Hábita, in Polanco. A fine old triangular-shaped casona (old mansion) built on a corner property just off Parque España has been intriguingly remodeled to house 24 rooms and 16 suites, all done in a sleek, minimalist style. The top floor rooms, with patios, are more expensive. Also upstairs is a steam room and hot tub, while the restaurant (with excellent food) is in the building’s central patio. The staff are bilingual and very efficient.
