Cayo Levisa About 10 kilometers west of Cayo Paraíso is Cayo Levisa, two kilometers offshore and ringed by 3.5 kilometers of sugar-white beaches. Cayo Levisa is popular with divers for its abundant black coral (dives cost CUC25, CUC45 for two dives). There’s a 30-meter-long dock on the south side. In October 2005, Hurricane Wilma almost totally destroyed the facilities, which were being rebuilt at last visit. A boat leaves for Cayo Levisa at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. (CUC10 per person, CUC15 including cocktail) from adjacent to the coast guard station at Palma Rubia: The turnoff from the Circuito Norte is 15 kilometers west of Las Pozas, just west of the village of Las Cadenas. The return boats depart Cayo Levisa at 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Excursions to Cayo Levisa are offered from tour agencies in Pinar del Río and Viñales.
