Museu Imperial
The Museu Imperial (Rua da Imperatriz 220, tel. 24/2237-8000, 11 a.m.–5:30 p.m. Tues.–Sun., R$8), once the summer palace of Emperor Dom Pedro II, is now a beautiful museum with pieces from the imperial era: jewels, furnishings, and works of art. The interior of the building itself is one of the main features. Inside is a tea house and souvenir shop. There is also a tourist information center inside.
