21-Day Best of Brazil

The 21-Day Best of Brazil
Brazil being such a large country (slightly larger than the continental United States), this trip requires a lot of domestic flying. The best parts of Brazil are spread all over the country, from the great waterfalls in the south to the great Amazon Jungle in the north. In between, you’ll see the world’s largest wetlands (the Pantanal), the magical island of Fernando de Noronha, the sparkling city of Rio de Janeiro and the history and culture of Bahia. It’s a lot to cover in 21 days, but this is a trip you’ll never forget. (read more)

Southeast Coast

Southeast Coast
These 14 days are designed to show you one of the richest strips of coastline in Brazil, including a day and a night in each of the two big cities to top things off. This is a very well-rounded trip that gives you a look at the big cities (including the famous sights of Rio de Janeiro), two large tropical islands, some of the best and most sparkling beaches on the coast, and an old, colonial Brazil via an 18th-century historical town. You’ll need a rental car to complete this journey, and much of the driving takes place in the afternoons, when you can get some wonderful scenic views along the coastal highway. (read more)

Back to Brazil's Golden Era

Back to Brazil's Gold Era
Most of the colonization of Brazil in the 1700s took place in the southeast region. The focal points were Rio de Janeiro, Paraty, and the gold towns of Minas Gerais. In this adventure, you explore these key locations with a focus on the natural beauty and cultural riches of the past and present. You’ll see the famous monuments of Rio de Janeiro and the influence of the Portuguese royal court on the city, the beautiful beaches and historical port town of Paraty, and the rich culture and incredible food of the historical towns along the Royal Road in Minas Gerais. The Souther Tropics

The Southern Tropics
For most travelers, the south of Brazil is one of the last places on the itinerary and it often never makes it on at all. But if you manage to squeeze in a visit to this vast and curious part of the country, this itinerary is designed to show you the best of the south in a fairly short period of time. In 10 days, you’ll visit the incredible island of Florianópolis, work your way up the Emerald Coast, visit the German communities on the hillsides of Santa Catarina, and top everything off with a couple of days at Foz de Iguaçú, one of the natural wonders of the world. Into the Heart of Brazil

Into the Heart of Brazil
You could easily spend months exploring this part of the country, but this 14-day tour is a great distillation of the region. You get a look at the best of the nordeste in terms of history, culture, tropical beaches, and islands. You begin and end at the airport in Salvador, but if you can’t find direct flights to Salvador, you can catch domestic flights from Rio or São Paulo. (read more)
