Art Galleries

Start with the House of Culture (see listing earlier in this chapter), then make your way to The Image Factory Shop and Gallery, a few doors down from the Maritime Museum, where there’s a great book store and gallery space for frequent openings (usually Friday evenings at happy hour). The Bliss Institute also has revolving displays of artwork.

The Fine Arts Gallery (9:30 a.m.– 4 p.m. Mon.–Fri.), right on Front Street in front of the Wet Lizard and between the cruise terminals, has an incredible collection of paintings and crafts.

Inside the Fort George compound is Rachel’s Art Gallery, which carries prints and original art by various artists, including Rachel herself.
