Most lodging choices are found off I-43 along Port Washington Road; virtually all are chain lodgings and range $65–150 single or double. Best overall rooms and location are at the Hilton Milwaukee River Inn (4700 N. Port Washington Rd., 414/962-6040 or 800/445-8667, www.milwaukeeriver.hilton.com, $101), with well-appointed one-bedroom rooms and a gorgeous, quiet river location. The excellent restaurant has an even better river view.
