For upscale grocery shopping at its best, head to Huckleberry’s Fresh Market (926 S. Monroe St., 509/624-1349, daily 7 a.m.–10 p.m.), the largest organic market in the inland Northwest and an excellent place to get produce, healthy foods, and wine. The first-rate deli features salads, soups, sandwiches, sushi, and baked goods, all to eat here or take away.
Spokane MarketPlace (1100 N. Ruby St., 509/482-2627) is an outdoor market with fresh produce, seafood, ethnic specialties, flowers, and pottery every Wednesday and Saturday in the summer.
The Spokane Farmers Market (Division and 2nd Ave., 509/685-1548, www.spokanefarmersmarket.org) takes place 9 a.m.–1 p.m. Saturday and Wednesday mid-May through October.
