Saigon Rendez-Vous (117 5th Ave. W, 360/352-1989, 11 a.m.–9 p.m. Mon.–Fri., noon–8 p.m. Sat.–Sun.)is one of the best local Asian restaurants, with Vietnamese and Chinese menus and vegetarian specialties.
Get quick and reasonable meals at either location of Happy Teriyaki: downtown (530 Capitol Way S, 360/705-8000, 11 a.m.–9 p.m. Mon.–Sat., closed Sun.) and over in West Olympia (2915 Harrison Ave. NW, 360/786-8866, 11 a.m.–9 p.m. Mon.–Sat., closed Sun.). Two good Thai places are Thai Garden Restaurant (270 Capitol Mall, 360/786-1959) and Thai Pavilion (303 E. 4th Ave., 360/943-9093).
