The Arts

The Bremerton Symphony Orchestra (360/373-1722) performs concerts throughout the winter season. Bremerton Community Theatre (599 Lebo Blvd., 360/373-5152) puts on comedy, drama, and musical theater performances. Free Concerts on the Boardwalk take place on Friday evenings mid-July to mid-August.

Two notable fine art galleries are Collective Visions (331 Pacific Ave., 360/377-8327, 10 a.m.–5 p.m. Tues.–Sat.) and Amy Burnett Gallery (412 Pacific Ave., 360/373-3187, 10 a.m.–5 p.m. Tues.–Sat.). The latter is said to be the largest art gallery in the Northwest.

Events

The third weekend of May brings an Armed Forces Festival and Parade (360/479-3579), the largest celebration of its type in the nation.

In late August the Kitsap County Fair and Rodeo (360/692-3655) comes to the Kitsap County Fairgrounds five miles north of Bremerton. Highlighted by a PRCA rodeo, the fair also includes a carnival, circus, and other entertainment.

Join the late August end-of-summer party at the Blackberry Festival on the boardwalk, with arts and crafts, food, music, a classic car show, and fun run.
