Downtown Winslow is jammed with gift and import shops, including several inside Winslow Green, the little strip mall in town. Two fine bookshops are in the center of town.
One of them, Eagle Harbor Books (157 Winslow Way E., 206/842-5332, www.eagleharborbooks.com, 9 a.m.–7 p.m. Mon.–Wed. and Fri., 9 a.m.–9 p.m. Thurs., 9 a.m.–6 p.m. Sat., 10 a.m.–6 p.m. Sun.) has new titles, plus an espresso café in the back.
Also downtown is Bainbridge Arts and Crafts (151 Winslow Way E., 206/842-3132, www.bainbridgeartscrafts.org, 10 a.m.–6 p.m. Mon.–Sat., 11 a.m.–5 p.m. Sun.), an excellent nonprofit gallery with local works.
