One of Seattle’s newer downtown hotels, Hampton Inn and Suites (700 5th Ave. N, 206/282-7700 or 800/476-7866, www.hamptonsuites.com, $129 d) is on the north side of Seattle Center. A breakfast buffet is included each morning, and parking is free. All suites ($149–199 d) feature fireplaces and kitchens, with some accommodating up to six people.
Not far away is another newer motel with the same ownership: Comfort Suites-Downtown Seattle Center (601 Roy St., 206/282-2600 or 800/517-4000, www.comfortsuites.com, $109–149 s or d). Here you will find fridges and microwaves in all rooms, plus an exercise facility and free parking garage. Also available are mini-suites ($119–159), one-bedroom suites ($129–169), and two-bedroom suites ($139–179).
