Anacortes Museum
The Anacortes Museum (1305 8th St., 360/293-1915, http://museum.cityofanacortes.org, 1–5 p.m. Thurs.–Mon., donation) has local historical exhibits, photographs, and period furniture. Get another taste of the past in a walk around Anacortes to see almost 50 (mostly small) historic murals on local buildings.
The Anacortes Visitor Information Center (819 Commercial Ave., 360/293-3832, www.anacortes.org) has descriptions of each, including the mural of Anna Curtis across the street from the center.
