Port Townsend has some of the most exquisite lodging choices in the state, most notably the myriad old Victorian homes that have been turned into bed-and-breakfasts, along with a dozen or so motels and hotels, and an equal number of cabins and guesthouses.
Port Townsend is a popular destination, and reservations are advised, especially in the summer and on weekends. The chamber of commerce (360/385-2722, www.ptchamber.org) tracks local accommodations and can tell you where rooms are available.
