The Forks Timber Museum (360/374-9663, 10 a.m.–4 p.m. daily mid-Apr.–Oct., free) has historical exhibits that include a steam donkey, a logging camp bunkhouse, old logging equipment, and various pioneer implements. The real surprise is a large 150-year-old canoe that was discovered by loggers in 1990. Out front is a memorial to loggers killed in the woods and a replica of a fire lookout tower.
