Railroad Ave., 360/427-8709, 5–9 p.m. Tues.–Sat.) delivers such treats as hot and spicy seafood soup, oysters sautéed in black bean sauce, and grilled halibut.

If tasty affordable food beats out elegance as your chief concern, try Suzan’s Grill (1927 Olympic Hwy. N, 360/432-8939, www.suzansgrill.com, 8 a.m.–3 p.m. Sun.–Thurs., Fri.–Sat. 8 a.m.–9 p.m.). This family-owned eatery trumpets “Nothing from Cans at Suzan’s.”

You can wallow in nostalgia and a big beefy burger at the same time at the local A&W Family Restaurant (1729 Olympic Hwy N., 360/426-2002). The drive-in still offers its namesake root beer and classic curbside service.
