Duckabush Recreation Area
Duckabush Road (Road 2519) heads west from Highway 101 four miles south of Brinnon, providing access to both the Brothers Wilderness and Olympic National Park.VFour miles up Duckabush Road is the rustic Interrorem Ranger Cabin, built in 1907 as headquarters for Olympic National Forest. Today the Forest Service rents this historic four-person cabin for $30; call 360/877-5254 for details. Two short trails—the Interrorem Nature Trail and Ranger Hole Trail—provide access to the densely forested country near the cabin.
Another mile up Duckabush Road is Collins Campground ($10, May–Sept.). Continue a short distance up Duckabush Road to Forest Road 2530, and follow it 1.3 miles. From here, Marhut Falls Trail climbs 0.75 mile to this picturesque waterfall.
