Snohomish Antiques

With more than 15 local dealers in vintage goods, Snohomish is justified in calling itself the “Antique Capital of the Northwest.” Antique shops of all sorts line First Street, including ones specializing in old toys, Victorian furnishings, realistic models of sailing ships, Persian rugs, and clocks.

The biggest of all is Star Center Antique Mall (829 2nd St.), where 200 dealers have small booths, covering such specialties as marbles, Chinese scrolls, or historic newspapers.

Bibliophiles also must stop by Upper Case Books (121 Glen Ave., 360/568-5987), which has a trove of thousands of used, out-of-print, and rare books.
