Marysville and Arlington
In business for over 70 years, Marysville’s Village Restaurant (220 Ash St., 360/659-2305, 6 a.m.–10 p.m. Sun.–Thurs., 6 a.m.–midnight Fri.–Sat., $10) is famous for its “mile-high” meringue pies and other all-American fare.
The best place to eat in Marysville is Fanny’s Restaurant (505 Cedar St., 360/653-8164, $10), where the diverse and eclectic menu includes international and vegetarian dishes.
Over in Arlington, La Hacienda (210 W. Division, Arlington, 360/435-9433, 11 a.m.–10 p.m. Sun.–Thurs., 11 a.m.–11 p.m. Fri.–Sat., $12) serves authentic Mexican cooking. The weekends are bustling here, as the locals crowd to the large bar for karaoke and a few bottles of Corona and Dos Equis.
From mid-June to mid-July, you can purchase fresh raspberries and strawberries from Sno-Co Berry Pak (4th St. and Cedar Ave., Marysville); most of the packing is for wholesale customers.
